It is truly amazing how similar in philosophy liberals are to ultra religious.
both do NOT believe in the individual but rather in the need for some BODY (whether it's the government or the Grand Rabbi) to dictate what needs to be done.
In the government they do not believe in the constitution but rather in the government's need to regulate and impose against the "outdated" constitution.
In the religious world they don't believe in the Torah's ability anymore, just theirs to impose above and beyond the Torah.
